LIBRARY NEWS

2024 Community Survey Results Summary!

913 Community Members completed our survey from January 10 to February 10, 2024. 75% use the library regularly. 92% of all comments were positive. Overall, very high praise and ratings with outstanding comments, but also good feedback on areas needing improvement (wi-fi, library of things, shorten wait times, noise, study rooms, communication, space usage) - we agree, will be working on, and will be adding to our five-year strategic plan.

OverDrive/Libby Default Checkout Period Changing March 29, 2024

The default lending period in MVLC OverDrive/Libby is changing from the current 21 days to 14 days starting March 29, 2024. The shorter default loan period increases the likelihood of titles being returned earlier, resulting in shorter wait times for patrons with holds.

You will still have the option to borrow items for 21 days, but you must select and change the lending period when borrowing the title. If you have any questions, please ask library staff.
