
Teen Winter Reading Olympics
Grades 6-12
January 1 - February 28, 2026
Teens in Grades 6-12 may READ ANYTHING and log the minutes they read from January 1 to February 28 on the Beanstack App to be rewarded with badges and prizes!
The 2026 Winter Olympics will be held in the Italian cities of Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo. Athletes will compete in fun sports like skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating in the snowy mountains and on the ice. Celebrate by logging your reading and earning Olympic-inspired badges throughout January and February. You may also earn gift cards to Dunkin' Donuts and Barnes & Noble and raffle tickets for our Grand Prize Olympic Winter Reading Basket!
Read 360 minutes – Receive a $5 Dunkin’ Donuts Gift Card
Read 720 minutes – Receive a free book from a selection
Read 1,000 minutes – Receive a $15 Barnes & Noble Gift Card
Read 1,500 minutes – Receive a ticket for the Raffle for an Olympic Reading Basket
Read more and earn another ticket for every 500 minutes you read.
To participate, you must create an account on the Beanstack tracker app or on the web at grotonpubliclibrary.beanstack.org. Create an account using your personal email and then register for the Teen Winter Reading Olympics. READ ANYTHING! Log the minutes you read to earn badges and prizes.
Prizes and tickets must be redeemed in person at the mid-level Circulation desk on the 2nd floor of the Groton Public Library. The drawing for the Grand Prize will take place on Friday, March 6, 2026, and other prizes will be available until Wednesday, April 1, 2026. All prizes are provided by the Groton Public Library Endowment Trust.
