Quaran-teens Reading Challenge

Begins: Tuesday, March 24

Groton-Dunstable Students in Grades 6-12! Read to earn a Cash Prize for your class!

We will add up all the minutes read while school is closed and award the grade with the most minutes a cash prize. The longer the quarantine, the more books read, the bigger the prize!

Every minute you read counts! Challenge yourself and encourage your classmates to sign up and read!

Not enough books at home? Find digital ebooks & audiobooks through the library using the Overdrive & Hoopla Apps.

Sign-up starts March 24, 2020 and runs until quarantine ends.

Sign up ONLINE using your library card number and PIN

  • Read books, magazines, comics, articles etc. or listen to audiobooks from home or download from the library’s Hoopla & Overdrive collections. Project Gutenberg also has free books online.
  • Record the amount of reading you do every day, and also the titles of the books you complete.
  • When the quarantine is over we will tally the minutes and give a cash award to the grade with the most minutes.

Guidelines for Success:

  • Sign up online with a valid library card and PIN number.
  • Record what you read using the online program on our website.
  • If you have trouble with the program, please email teens@gpl.org (there may not be anyone at the library to answer a phone call).

Thanks to the Groton Public Library Endowment Trust for generously supporting our reading programs and challenges.
