Thanks to everyone who participated in the 2010 Summer Reading Program. A total of 615 children participated this year and 18,315 books were checked out of the Children’s Room!

Help us make next years program even better. Tell us what you think. Please fill out this short GPL Summer Reading Program Survey.

The Children’s Room invites the participation of all children, ages 18 months through Grade 5, in the Library’s annual Summer Reading Program. Sign-up for the 8-week program begins in June. Read books—earn prizes—join in all the fun activities at the Library! Weekly activities may include special storytimes and performances, crafts and games, movies, and more. We plan events that will be appropriate for different age groups, from the littlest pre-readers up through Grade 5. (Students in grade 6-12 are invited to participate in the YA Summer Reading Program.) You do not have to be a Groton resident to join in the fun.

This spot is the place to come for information of the Summer Reading Program each year.
