Sunday Hours
The library is open Sunday afternoons during the winter. In 2009, Sunday hours will begin on January 11 and continue through April 19, except for April 12 (Easter Sunday).
Holidays
In addition to the Monday holidays, the library will be closed in observance of New Years Day (January 1), Independence Day (July 4), Veterans’ Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day (December 25).
Inclement Weather
The Groton Public Library will follow the town of Groton’s Inclement Weather and Other Emergencies Policy during the Groton Town Hall’s regular business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Outside of these hours, the Library Director will decide when to close or delay opening of the Library in the event of inclement weather or other condition. When weather conditions are severe, the Library will not open. In other circumstances the Library may close early or delay opening. The time of opening will depend on the storm. When there is a two-hour school delay, the Library will most likely be open and hold programs. When schools are closed, check the home page or contact the Library to see if it is open and if programs are being held.
